May 9 (GMM) Mark Webber brought out the red flags during afternoon practice for the Turkish grand prix on Friday by crashing his Red Bull.

The Australian crashed his Renault-powered single seater at turn six of Istanbul's Otodrom venue, sustaining significant front end damage to both corners of the car.

The RB4 was covered up by team members as it was returned to pitlane.

The session was restarted at 2.37pm local.
