Jul.7 (GMM) GP2 team boss Adrian Campos is interested in buying the assets of the defunct formula one team Super Aguri.

It emerged at the weekend that the assets of the Japanese team, including cars and transporters, will be auctioned on July 31.

It is often suggested that Campos, and fellow Spaniard Alejandro Agag, want to launch a Spanish F1 foray, and were even linked with Super Aguri prior to its collapse.

Campos confirmed to GPWeek that he held talks about buying Super Aguri's assets prior to the announcement about the auction.

"It's true I was there to talk with them about buying the assets. That's all for the moment," he said.
