Jul.7 (GMM) The boss of 2010 British grand prix host Donington Park has confirmed that Hermann Tilke will oversee the modifications to bring the Leicestershire circuit up to formula one standard.

Prior to the announcement of Donington's ten-year contract, we reported recently that Tilke - F1's usual circuit designer - visited the track in contemplation of a major upgrade.

Donington boss Simon Gillett, however, denied that Tilke's modifications might change the fundamental character of the current layout.

"We're going to be using Hermann Tilke as our design partner -- but as for track changes ... I think if we were to touch the Craner Curves I'd be lynched!" he joked to GPWeek.
