Kazuki Nakajima - Williams FW30
BARCELONA, Spain, Feb 21, 2008 (AFP) - Japan´s Kazuki Nakajima took his Williams to the fastest time in Formula One testing at the Catalunya circuit here on Thursday.
Nakajima clocked a best lap of 1min 22.153sec, three-hundredths ahead of Heikki Kovalainen in the McLaren.
"Initially it was a bit of a difficult test because of the weather but it was good for me to get some experience in wet conditions," said Nakajima.
"The car is feeling good, but we couldn´t do as much work with it as we wanted to because of the bad weather. It was still a good week for us though overall."
McLaren test driver Pedro de la Rosa was third fastest while Felipe Massa and Nico Rosberg were next up for Ferrari and Williams respectively.
Mark Webber and David Coulthard recorded the sixth and seventh fastest times for Red Bull ahead of Luca Badoer in the second Ferrari.
Renault´s Fernando Alonso, the former world champion, was half a second off Nakajima´s pace.
