Williams stop testing after Nakajima crash

Kazuki Nakajima - Williams
Kazuki Nakajima - Williams
Feb.1 (GMM) Williams stopped German driver Nico Rosberg's test programme on Friday after his Japanese teammate Kazuki Nakajima crashed heavily in the team's 2008 car.

Nakajima was unhurt when his Toyota-powered FW30 speared at high speed into the barriers at turn one of the Circuit de Catalunya, the venue for a three day weekend test outside Barcelona.

A Williams spokesman told the British news agency Reuters that Rosberg's sister car was also sidelined while the team investigated the technical fault that caused Nakajima to crash.

"It was related to a front wing mounting issue which will be fixed and the car will be running again tomorrow," he said.
