Sep.23 (GMM) Sebastian Vettel, who at Monza recently became F1's youngest ever pole sitter and grand prix winner, is to be declared the 2008 'Motorsportler des Jahres' (motor sportsman of the year) by the Deutscher Motorsport Verband (German motorsport association).

An official ceremony is to take place in Frankfurt on 6 December.

In 2001, a then 14-year-old Vettel won the same association's junior motor sportsman of the year title.
