No 'hole nose' for Ferrari in Turkey

May 6 (GMM) Ferrari on Tuesday confirmed that, despite debuting its new 'slotted nose' at Barcelona two weeks ago, the innovation will not appear on the F2008 this weekend in Turkey.

The Italian outfit had already hinted that the aerodynamic device would not be a permanent feature of the car, despite Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa dominating in Spain.

Team manager Luca Baldisserri confirmed on Tuesday that the cars will be in basically the Barcelona configuration at Istanbul Park this weekend, but without the shark-like 'hole nose'.

"This is because this solution is much more efficient at medium to high downforce levels, whereas Turkey requires less downforce," he explained.
