Suzuki 'can't believe' Turkey lockout

May 5 (GMM) Aguri Suzuki on Monday added his disbelief to reports that his Super Aguri team has been locked out of the Istanbul paddock just days ahead of the Turkish grand prix.

Sources have explained that, as well as the struggling team's cars being inexplicably quarantined at parent outfit Honda's Brackley (UK) base, circuit officials barred Super Aguri's equipment and motor home transporters from entering the track this week on the instruction of Nick Fry and Bernie Ecclestone.

"I cannot believe it but it is true," Aguri Suzuki, the Leafield squad's co-owner and team principal, is quoted as saying by the daily Tokyo Chunichi Sports.

Suzuki told the newspaper that the development makes no sense after Super Aguri "normally raced" at Barcelona two weeks ago.

It has been suggested that the move is aimed at reducing Honda's embarrassment when the executive board votes down the proposed Weigl buyout in Tokyo on Tuesday.
