FIA appoints lawyer to probe 'Nazi' claim

May 5 (GMM) Senior FIA officers have appointed a top English lawyer to independently investigate the News of the World's claim that Max Mosley was involved in "Nazi style" activities, F1's governing body announced on Monday.
A statement revealed that the embattled FIA president "welcomed" the appointment of Anthony Scrivener QC.
His opinion as to whether the available evidence supports the News of the World's claim will be available to FIA member representatives when they vote on Mosley's future on June 3.
In 2006, Scrivener was elected to serve as a judge on the FIA International Court of Appeal.
