May 15 (GMM) 158 grand prix veteran and continuing resident of the formula one paddock, Martin Brundle, will return to competitive race action at the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit this weekend.

The 48-year-old British television commentator, whose former teams included Jordan and McLaren, has signed up to race his teenage son Alex in the Belgian round of the Formula Palmer-Audi series.

"It's a great circuit and a unique opportunity for me to race against my son," Brundle, whose last race was at Le Mans in 2001, said.

Alex Brundle, 17, currently lies fourth in the junior open-wheeler category.
