SEPANG, Malaysia, March 20, 2008 (AFP) - A race by race look at the 2008 Formula One Grand Prix season:-
March 16: Australia, Melbourne
Lewis Hamilton dominates the opening Grand Prix of the season leading from pole position all the way to the chequered flag. Behind him in suffocating heat it was a chaotic, incident-packed race with the safety car called out three times during the 58 laps and only seven of the 22 cars making it home. Germans Nick Heidfeld in a BMW-Sauber and Nico Rosberg in a Williams join Hamilton on the podium but it is a black day for Ferrari with world champion Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Mass both failing to finish the race.
