HOCKENHEIM, Germany, July 20, 2008 (AFP) - Briton Lewis Hamilton won the German Grand Prix here on Sunday to take the lead in the overall standings with his second successive victory after the British Grand Prix a fortnight ago.

The 23-year-old McLaren driver took the chequered flag ahead of Nelson Piquet in a Renault while his fellow Brazilian Felipe Massa was third in a Ferrari.

Hamilton gave the McLaren team their first win in the German Grand Prix for 10 years.
