Jul.18 (GMM) Organisers of the German grand prix at Hockenheim expect this weekend's event to lose about 3 million euros.

"The actual figures depend on the ticket sales," Hockenheim mayor and circuit chairman Dieter Gummer said.

Given the expected loss, and the fact that this year's visiting F1 circus features no less than five German race drivers and two German teams, Gummer told Auto Motor und Sport there can be no long-term guarantee of the formula one race at the track.
