Jan.16 (GMM) The maiden test of BMW-Sauber's newly launched 2008 car was disturbed by extreme weather on Wednesday, according to the German news agency SID.

Reportedly, extreme winds of up to 100kmh and rainstorms meant Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica could not proceed as planned with the second consecutive day with the F1.08 at the Valencia circuit in Spain.

Elsewhere, in the south of the country, the weather is not as extreme at Jerez, where the majority of teams are running this week, but day three of the test there is being affected by rain.

SID reports that the weather in Spain should improve on Thursday.
