Jan.11 (GMM) Michael Schumacher said on Friday that it is not yet decided if he will test Ferrari's new F2008 single seater in the near future.

At the team's global media event at the Madonna di Campiglio ski resort, the seven time world champion told La Gazzetta dello Sport that his role within the Maranello based outfit has finally been defined.

"It has taken some time, but now my role within Ferrari is clear: we had to find out where my presence would be most useful," the 38-year-old said.

Schumacher revealed that he will be involved specifically with the development of Ferrari's racing cars.

As for any upcoming tests in the 2008 F1 machine, he answered: "We have not yet established any dates, nothing is decided.

"We will evaluate depending on the situation," Schumacher added.

"If the team need me to drive I will, but not too often."
