Jan.10 (GMM) Force India on Thursday announced officially that Giancarlo Fisichella will race for the team in 2008.

The Roman veteran's teammate will be Adrian Sutil, it was revealed in a statement, while former Red Bull and Toro Rosso racer Vitantonio Liuzzi, who is 27, joins as test and reserve driver, as per the speculation of recent days.

"Contrary to what people may think, this was not my only opportunity, it was the best one: with new owners and a competitive budget, I really think we can shake things up next year," said Fisichella, who lost his works Renault seat at the end of 2007.

Sutil, the German youngster, also revealed that other teams expressed "interest" in his services for 2008.

But "The opportunity to stay with a growing team that has strong ambitions is very positive for me at this stage in my career," he insisted.

"I am also very excited about the opportunity to work with Giancarlo," Sutil added.
