BARCELONA, Spain, Feb 26, 2008 (AFP) - McLaren´s strong form at Barcelona continued on Tuesday on the penultimate day of the final pre-season group test as Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen finished clear of Ferrari.

Hamilton, Britain´s 2007 Formula One title runner-up, was the fastest for the second straight day.

The 22-year-old recorded a fastest time of 1 minute 21.234 seconds while his team-mate Kovalainen was second fastest (1:21.434)

World champion Kimi Raikkonen of Finland finsihed third (1:21.722) in a Ferrari.

Hamilton´s former team-mate Spain´s Fernando Alonso, who has said he is pessimistic about Renault´s chances at the start of the season, was two seconds off the McLarens in 13th.
