Feb.2 (GMM) Christian Klien has signed to become BMW-Sauber's main test and reserve driver in 2008.

The Austrian 24-year-old, who tested for Honda last year, will be supported in the role by Estonian rookie Marko Asmer, who has signed to become a second junior test driver, the German squad announced in a statement.

"We wanted a third driver with formula one racing experience," team boss Mario Theissen said, "as well as an up-and-coming young driver for us to train up to formula One level."
