Feb.18 (GMM) Super Aguri on Monday called off its planned round of Barcelona testing this week.

The embattled Japanese team had already cancelled the scheduled launch of its 2008 car, but instead intended to run at the Circuit de Catalunya preceding the upcoming last group test of the 2008 pre-season.

This week at Barcelona, Aguri Suzuki and technical boss Mark Preston were also due to meet with the media.

"Super Aguri F1 Team will not be participating at the test in Barcelona this week due to circumstances beyond our control," the team announced in a press statement.

"We are planning to attend the test at the Circuit de Catalunya next week with two cars," the statement added, also apologising to members of the media who had travelled to Spain for the interviews with team chiefs.
