JEREZ, Spain, Feb 14, 2008 (AFP) - Heikki Kovalainen took his McLaren-Mercedes to the top of the time charts in Formula One testing here on Thursday.

The Finn clocked a best lap of 1min 17.974sec from 96 laps to finish ahead of David Coulthard in a Red Bull with Japan´s Kazuki Nakajima, the third fastest in a Williams.
