Apr.26 (GMM) Former triple world champion Nelson Piquet is unconvinced that female racer Danica Patrick has what it takes to switch to formula one.

American Patrick, 26, secured her breakthrough win in the IndyCar series last weekend, amid suggestions that F1 should seize the opportunity now that the world of premier single seater racing seems to have identified a top woman driver.

But Piquet, who was badly injured when he attempted the Indianapolis 500 in the nineties, told the Spanish newspaper Diario AS that he is not convinced of Patrick's credentials.

"In the IRL I do not see anything -- no brakes, no corners, no nothing," he said.
