Scandal-hit Mosley to attend Monaco Grand Prix

BARCELONA, Spain, April 25, 2008 (AFP) - Beleaguered motor racing boss Max Mosley said on Friday that he will attend next month´s Monaco Grand Prix.

The president of motor racing´s ruling body, the Federation International de l´Automobile (FIA), has been at the centre of a controversial sex scandal since the News of the World reported he was involved in a sado-masochistic Nazi-style sex orgy with five prostitutes in London last month.

There have been widespread calls for him to resign his position, but he has refused to step down and his future will be decided by a vote of confidence at a meeting of the FIA in Paris on June 3.

Mosley told the Autosport.com website: "I will be going to the Monaco Grand Prix. I live there. I only went to one complete Formula One race last year.

"That was Monaco, and I was at the complete event because I live there."

Mosley, 68, spoke to the website while attending the Rally of Jordan, his first public appearance since the lurid revelations about his private life.
