Apr.12 (GMM) The formula one team Honda has signed a long term contract with British kart driver Will Stevens.

A statement on Friday said the 16-year-old will receive assistance "in developing to the level of performance that is required to potentially become part of Honda's formula one programme in the future".

Stevens visited the Honda factory in Brackley (UK) on Friday and was photographed with team bosses Ross Brawn and Nick Fry.

He is managed by former British grand prix drivers Martin Brundle and Mark Blundell.
