Sep.12 (GMM) An interesting spectator was spotted at the recent test at Silverstone of the A1 GP open-wheeler series.

The website A1podium.com reports that Ferrari sporting director Stefano Domenicali was at the Northampton venue, sparking speculation that the Italian marque might want to get involved in the series.

The contracts of current chassis and engine suppliers Lola and Zytek reportedly come up for renewal at the end of the season.

"Of course he may just have been there supporting A1Team Italy!" the website noted.
