Oct.19 (GMM) Franck Montagny will leave Toyota after the Brazilian grand prix this weekend, the Japanese team announced on Friday.

The Frenchman joined Toyota as its primary test and reserve driver this year, after spending time at Super Aguri in 2006. He tested for Renault between 2003 and 2005.

"This race weekend Toyota will bid farewell to Ralf Schumacher and third driver Franck Montagny," a statement issued by the Cologne based team in Brazil read.

Also in the statement, race driver Jarno Trulli praised organisers of the race at Interlagos for resurfacing the circuit.

"They have done a good job," said the Italian.

"The bumps which were always a problem at this track in the past have been removed and it is a big improvement," he added.
