Alonso stays dry on Friday morning

2 times World Champion McLaren driver Fernando Alonso (2007)
Oct.19 (GMM) Fernando Alonso did not complete a single flying lap at the Interlagos circuit on Friday morning.

It is understood that the Spaniard, like both BMW-Sauber drivers and Giancarlo Fisichella, simply decided against running in the damp conditions rather than suffering a technical glitch.

All four limited their programmes to installation laps.

Kimi Raikkonen, meanwhile, led a Ferrari one-two at the top of the times, with the other championship challenger Lewis Hamilton fifth quickest after doing ten laps.
